ENGINEERING · DATA · CIRCULARITY

Remanufacturing indicators for factory-floor decisions.

Estrelícia Concept presents 4Reman: a proposal to bring operations, environmental, economic and quality indicators together, with specialized AI agents to help examine the data.

ESTRELÍCIA CONCEPT / 4REMAN01 — 04
4 dimensions

One integrated view of a remanufacturing operation.

THE CHALLENGE

Without clear rules, different batches look alike.

Without consistent criteria, it is hard to compare batches, identify losses and explain results. The starting point is to define what data exists, how it is collected and which decisions it should support.

01 / 04

Operations

Track stages, time, losses and the flow of incoming cores.

02 / 04

Environment

Organize data to assess material and resource use.

03 / 04

Economics

Connect costs, recovery and value by product or batch.

04 / 04

Quality

Examine testing, rework and technical compliance.

FROM RECEIPT TO TESTING

What happens to a returned core at each stage?

The workflow varies by product. These seven stages help locate data, losses and decisions across an operation.

  1. 01

    Receipt and sorting

Record the source, condition and class of each incoming core.

  2. 02

    Disassembly

Separate assemblies and identify components for inspection.

  3. 03

    Cleaning

Prepare parts for assessment; ultrasonic cleaning is an option where appropriate.

  4. 04

    Inspection and classification

Decide what can be reused, restored, replaced or discarded.

  5. 05

    Reconditioning

Restore viable components and record required replacements.

  6. 06

    Reassembly

Assemble the product with approved parts and preserve traceability.

  7. 07

    Bench testing

Check performance and compliance before release.

HOW WE START

How we define the indicators.

01

Map

Understand the process, data sources and priority decisions.

02

Structure

Define indicators, calculation rules and responsibilities.

03

Apply

Bring results together in a view that helps the team act.

CONTEXT

Why keep better remanufacturing records?

Operational decisions

The condition of incoming cores affects cost, lead time and quality. Measuring classes, recovery and rework helps plan the next batch.

Circular economy in Brazil

Brazil’s National Circular Economy Plan 2025–2034 calls for sector assessments and indicators to track the transition. The plan does not, by itself, require every company to report.

EU sustainability reporting

ESRS applies to companies within the scope of the CSRD; its timetable and scope have been revised. Exporting to the EU alone does not establish a reporting duty.
